Labor Day Laziness

Hello Monday.

It is a rare occasion for a Monday to be a holiday.

Holidays are meant to be celebrated, especially when they fall on a Monday.  Holidays just make Mondays better.  Wouldn't you agree?

YES.  Holidays definitely make Monday better!

Today I had the opportunity to sleep in.  The day started off slow and easy.  I did a little housecleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.  (Wait. You're not supposed to do those things on holidays, right?  Oh well.  I did.  And enjoyed it.)

Then my husband and I grilled out for dinner and invited over some friends.  We sat outside on the porch and enjoyed the evening, just hanging out and having a good time.

It was wonderful.

How was your Monday?

I know I'm commenting on this way late, but...I actually didn't get Labor Day off. It was the first day of class for the School of the Bible, after a busy weekend of orientation for our new students. When I finally DID get a weekend, a week later, I sure was ready for it! It will be a good year though, so I can't really complain.

That sounds like a great Monday, Jon! Was the weather hot/sunny or rainy?

The weather was cool, cloudy, and windy...but I still loved being at the beach with my family!

My Monday was marvelous! I did lots of yummy cooking(another one of those not-holiday things, lol) for my husband's bday and snuggled my baby and basically did nothing else useful. I'll regret it tomorrow when I have to face down the mess I made of the kitchen, but it was lovely today! Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier! :)

My Monday was great! We went to Ocean Grove, NJ at the Jersey Shore for the day. The weather wasn't super but the company was great.
